This October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, when people can help raise awareness of breast cancer and funds for vital research, from taking part in events through to sharing real life experiences of breast cancer.
Filofax and Breast Cancer Campaign (BCC) have a long and successful relationship. The company has raised over £600,000 in the past ten years by giving a donation on each BCC product sold. These currently include a pink organiser in two sizes and a pen.
Franklin Jacoyange from BCC said: “Filofax’s enormously generous fundraising effort has made a massive difference; helping to save the lives of the 50,000 women diagnosed with breast cancer each year in the UK. To have already raised over £600,000 is incredible, we are looking forward to working with Filofax, one of our key supporters, for many more years.”
As part of the month, Breast Cancer Campaign’s annual fundraising day ‘Wear It Pink’ is on Friday 25th October. Wear pink in your office, school or home to raise money to help fund more breast cancer research that saves lives.
BCC are a unique community of scientists, supporters and people affected by breast cancer. They fund world-class breast cancer research projects in the UK and Ireland that provide the greatest potential to benefit patients. It’s crucial that they keep funding this vital research.
