Your Filofax could arrive in a box already – the packaging actually looks so smart that they almost don’t need wrapping, but hey, it’s Christmas, so let’s go mad!
Here’s a very simple idea for wrapping a Filofax pillow shaped gift box. Deconstruct the box so that it lays flat. I covered the box in white Kraft paper using a glue stick to secure it.
Trim the curved edges to be neat and then ease the ends into position.
I then pulled some artificial ivy leaves off their plastic veins and positioned them randomly over the box. I then glue gunned them into position. I then topped this off with sparkly pom poms to ‘lift’ the look.
Here’s a fun idea for a man’s Filofax. I kept looking at the gift pillow boxes and thought they really looked such good quality with a lovely matt finish I wanted to use them as they were. I simply made a collar from firm white paper. I then took a long length of plain white ribbon and tied it around the parcel just like a tie. I kept the collar in place with a glue stick and then carefully eased the tie into position and secured it at the back with my glue gun. Voila!
This wrap is a love it/hate it one! The Filofax here is in a traditional box but I had in mind someone who likes natural things. This would be a great gift for a gardener who likes to keep track of planting etc. Essentially, I used brown paper, but this one does have a matt gold tone to it. I crisscrossed the paper on the top of the gift and tied it with raffia. There are NO neat corners or folds in this wrapping! I embellished with artificial leaves and berries, but you could use fresh leaves. Never use fresh berries in case children are around.
If the Filofax is being given to a child (how lucky!) here’s a very easy but effective idea. I’ve wrapped the box in plain white paper and put a bright, red and white snowflake ribbon around it. I painted a dolly peg to be a bright and funky angel. The angel can hold the name tag. The angel was an idea I saw on Pinterest a few years ago.
